How Friends Padel Tour works

Open organization, three sets that always count, and a ranking where every win adds up.

Organizing a match

The group of friends organizes through WhatsApp to gather four players and agree on the day and court.

Everyone can participate according to their availability. Playing is voluntary and each player decides when to join.

There is no mandatory calendar or fixed number of matches during the season.

The aim is always to play all three sets. The third is played even when the first two have already been won, because each set awards its own points.

Mixed

This is the usual format. Partners rotate and every player shares one set with each of the other three participants.

Standard

This format is used rarely. The same two pairs remain together for all three sets, including the third.

The website records the final game score for each set; individual points are not recorded.

Every set won awards one point to each player in the winning pair. A player can therefore earn between 0 and 3 points in each match.

Winning more sets is the primary criterion and determines the ranking.

When two players have the same points, the player who has won more games ranks higher.

If they remain tied, the player who has played more matches ranks higher.

Informational weighted score

Total points ÷ (matches played + 5)

This measure adds context about performance and participation and reduces the effect of a very small sample. It does not determine official position.

End-of-season awards

To be eligible for awards, a player must have played at least 10 matches by the end of the season.

A player with fewer than 10 matches still appears in the ranking and statistics, but is not eligible for awards.
